North Carolina High School Basketball - Clayton holds off Willow Spring

The Clayton Comets basketball team scored 49 points and limited the host Willow Spring Storm to 44 in the Comets league triumph on Wednesday.

The Comets now possess a 15-8 record. They play next when they travel to Cleveland for a 4A Greater Neuse River game on Friday, February 14. Clayton will confront a Rams team coming off a 75-73 league win over South Garner (Garner, NC). The Rams record now stands at 17-6.

With the loss, Willow Spring falls to 15-8 on the campaign. The Storm travel to Southeast Raleigh (Raleigh, NC) to confront the Bulldogs in a 4A Greater Neuse River game on Friday, February 14. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 13-10. Southeast Raleigh lost 70-69 in their recent league game against Garner (Garner, NC)
