The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Monterey Dores (Monterey, CA) and the host Oakwood Hawks (Morgan Hill, CA), observed Monterey's basketball team overcome Oakwood by a margin of 65-56.

The Dores (18-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Palma (Salinas, CA). The Chieftains come into the PCAL - Gabilan challenge with a 18-5 record. In their last challenge, Palma defeated Pacific Grove (Pacific Grove, CA), 61-50, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Hawks battle the Alisal Trojans (Salinas, CA) in a PCAL - Gabilan challenge, on Friday, February 14. Oakwood will attempt to better on its 14-9 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 17-7 record after their 70-50 league win over Everett Alvarez (Salinas, CA).
