The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Richlands Blue Tornado (Richlands, VA) and the visiting Tazewell Bulldogs (Tazewell, VA), observed Richlands's basketball team overwhelm Tazewell by a score of 61-22.

The Blue Tornado (6-16) will now prepare for their challenge against Marion (Marion, VA). The Scarlet Hurricanes come into the Southwest challenge with a 8-11 record. In their last challenge, Marion was routed by Graham (Bluefield, VA), 53-39, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bulldogs encounter the Lebanon Pioneers (Lebanon, VA) in a Southwest challenge, on Friday, February 14. Tazewell will attempt to improve on its 1-17 season record. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a 7-16 record after their 41-28 league loss to Virginia High (Bristol, VA).
