The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC) and the visiting Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC), observed Chase's basketball team overcome Patton by a margin of 61-52.

The Trojans (8-10) will now prepare for their challenge against R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC). The Hilltoppers come into the non-league challenge with a 4-7 record.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Hendersonville Bearcats (Hendersonville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 14. Patton will attempt to better on its 11-7 season record. The Bearcats come into the challenge with a 19-0 record after their 55-50 league win over Brevard (Brevard, NC).
