The Fremont Firebirds basketball team scored 65 points and limited the host Homestead Mustangs to 61 in the Firebirds league triumph on Wednesday.

The Firebirds now have a 8-9 record. They play next when they travel to Lynbrook for a game on Monday, February 17. Fremont will confront a Vikings team coming off a 48-35 league loss to Monta Vista (Cupertino, CA). The Vikings record now stands at 7-16.

With the loss, Homestead falls to 17-5 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Santa Clara (Santa Clara, CA) to confront the Bruins in a game on Friday, February 14. The Bruins go into the game with a record of 11-11. Santa Clara lost 57-47 in their recent league game against Saratoga (Saratoga, CA)
