The Angleton Wildcats soccer squad scored 5 points and held the visiting Friendswood Mustangs to 0 in the Wildcats league victory on Wednesday.
The Wildcats now possess a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to Texas City for a 5A Region 3 District 20 bout on Saturday, February 15. Angleton will play a Stingarees squad coming off a 0-0 league Santa Fe (Santa Fe, TX). The Stingarees record now stands at 2-7.
With the loss, Friendswood moves to 5-7 on the year. The Mustangs host Iowa Colony (Iowa Colony, TX) to play the Pioneers in a 5A Region 3 District 20 bout on Thursday, February 13. The Pioneers go into the bout with a record of 6-5. Iowa Colony lost 3-2 in their recent league bout against La Porte (La Porte, TX)
