In Monday's league outing, the Quemado Eagles (Quemado, NM) basketball squad edged the visiting Animas Panthers (Animas, NM), by a count of 44-39.
The Eagles (12-13) will now prepare for their outing against Carrizozo (Carrizozo, NM). The Grizzlies go into the non-league outing with a 4-20 record. In their last outing, Carrizozo was tipped by Alamo Navajo (Magdalena, NM), 75-41, in a league outing.
The Panthers now hold a 6-17 record. They play next when they host Mesilla Valley Christian School for a A District 2 outing on Thursday, February 16. Animas will clash with a SonBlazers squad coming off a 46-35 league loss to Cliff (Cliff, NM). The SonBlazers record now stands at 11-9.
