The Lake City Tigers (Lake City, MN) basketball knocked off the host Chatfield Gophers (Chatfield, MN), 83-65 in Monday's league test.
The Tigers (20-1) will now prepare for their test against Zumbrota-Mazeppa (Zumbrota, MN). The Cougars go into the AA Section 1 test with a 12-11 record. In their last test, Zumbrota-Mazeppa notched a victory over Kenyon-Wanamingo (Kenyon, MN), 59-43, in a non-league test.
The Gophers now own a 12-8 record. They play next when they travel to Wabasha-Kellogg for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 14. Chatfield will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 60-49 league win over Houston (Houston, MN). The Falcons record now stands at 9-10.
