New Mexico High School Basketball - Gadsden knocked off by Mayfield

The Mayfield Trojans basketball team scored 80 points and held the host Gadsden Panthers to 69 in the Trojans league triumph on Monday.
The Trojans now sport a 6-18 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Organ Mountain for a 5A District 3 contest on Thursday, February 16. Mayfield will battle a Knights team coming off a 63-54 league win over Centennial (Las Cruces, NM). The Knights record now stands at 20-4.
The Panthers (4-20) will now prepare for their contest against Alamogordo (Alamogordo, NM). The Tigers enter the 5A District 3 contest with a 10-12 record. In their last contest, Alamogordo was defeated by Las Cruces (Las Cruces, NM), 55-52, in a league contest.
