West Virginia High School Basketball - Independence overwhelms Richwood

Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Independence Patriots (Coal City, WV) and the host Richwood Lumberjacks (Richwood, WV), saw Independence's basketball squad wallop Richwood by a count of 99-66.
With the victory, Independence upgrades its record to 5-10 on the campaign. The Patriots host Midland Trail (Hico, WV) to play the Patriots in a Coalfield A challenge on Tuesday, February 14. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 11-8. Midland Trail lost 68-62 in their recent league challenge against PikeView (Princeton, WV)
Next up, the Lumberjacks play the Lewis County Minutemen (Weston, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, February 15. Richwood will attempt to upgrade on its 1-16 season record. The Minutemen come into the challenge with a 10-9 record after their 70-54 league loss to North Marion (Farmington, WV).
