The Washington Patriots (Charles Town, WV) basketball felled the host Mountain Ridge Miners (Frostburg, MD), 66-56 in Monday's non-league test.

The Patriots (3-15) will now prepare for their test against Musselman (Inwood, WV). The Applemen go into the Eastern Panhandle test with a 9-8 record. In their last test, Musselman thwarted Martinsburg (Martinsburg, WV), 51-49, in a league test.

The Miners now own a 9-11 record. They play next when they travel to Southern for a Western Maryland test on Friday, February 17. Mountain Ridge will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 83-45 league loss to Fort Hill (Cumberland, MD). The Rams record now stands at 1-11.
