The Animas Panthers (Animas, NM) basketball felled the host Quemado Eagles (Quemado, NM), 49-33 in Monday's league test.
The Panthers (17-7) will now prepare for their test against Mesilla Valley Christian School (Las Cruces, NM). The SonBlazers go into the A District 2 test with a 6-15 record. In their last test, Mesilla Valley Christian School was beaten by Cliff (Cliff, NM), 64-30, in a league test.
The Eagles now own a 16-9 record. They play next when they travel to Carrizozo for a non-league test on Thursday, February 16. Quemado will encounter a Grizzlies squad coming off a 77-24 league loss to Alamo Navajo (Magdalena, NM). The Grizzlies record now stands at 0-22.
