Connecticut High School Basketball - Ansonia can't hold off Oxford

The Oxford Wolverines basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the host Ansonia Chargers to 47 in the Wolverines non-league victory on Monday.
The Wolverines now sport a 12-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Fairfield for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 16. Oxford will battle a Rebels team coming off a 47-45 league win over Bethel (Bethel, CT). The Rebels record now stands at 12-7.
The Chargers (8-11) will now prepare for their contest against Woodland Regional (Beacon Falls, CT). The Hawks come into the Naugatuck Valley - Brass contest with a 12-6 record. In their last contest, Woodland Regional edged Derby (Derby, CT), 51-14, in a league contest.
