Baraga Vikings (Baraga, MI) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Jeffers Jets (Painesdale, MI), 43-28 in a league bout.

With the victory, Baraga upgrades its record to 15-3 on the campaign. The Vikings host Ishpeming (Ishpeming, MI) to play the Hematites in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Hematites come into the bout with a record of 11-5. Ishpeming lost 55-54 in their recent league bout against Negaunee (Negaunee, MI)

Next up, the Jets play the Chassell Panthers (Chassell, MI) in a Copper Mountain bout, on Thursday, February 16. Jeffers will attempt to upgrade on its 7-10 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 1-17 record after their 58-40 league loss to L'Anse (L'Anse, MI).
