The Calumet Copper Kings basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the visiting Houghton Gremlins to 34 in the Copper Kings league victory on Monday.

The Copper Kings now sport a 14-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Iron County for a Western Peninsula contest on Thursday, February 16. Calumet will battle a Wykons team coming off a 62-27 non-league win over Forest Park (Crystal Falls, MI). The Wykons record now stands at 10-7.

The Gremlins (14-3) will now prepare for their contest against Escanaba (Escanaba, MI). The Eskymos come into the non-league contest with a 16-1 record. In their last contest, Escanaba prevailed over Gladstone (Gladstone, MI), 63-58, in a league contest.
