Martin Luther Spartans (Greendale, WI) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Catholic Central Hilltoppers (Burlington, WI), 70-24 in a league bout.

With the victory, Martin Luther upgrades its record to 16-7 on the campaign. The Spartans host Racine Lutheran (Racine, WI) to play the Crusaders in a Metro Classic bout on Thursday, February 16. The Crusaders come into the bout with a record of 13-10. Racine Lutheran won 52-51 in their recent league bout against Shoreland Lutheran (Somers, WI)

Next up, the Hilltoppers play the St. Catherine's Angels (Racine, WI) in a Metro Classic bout, on Thursday, February 16. Catholic Central will attempt to upgrade on its 4-17 season record. The Angels come into the bout with a 9-14 record after their 61-33 league loss to Dominican (Whitefish Bay, WI).
