Griffith Institute Griffins (Springville, NY) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Tonawanda Warriors (Tonawanda, NY), 45-21 in a league bout.

With the win, Griffith Institute upgrades its record to 10-9 on the season. The Griffins travel to Maryvale (Cheektowaga, NY) to play the Flyers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 15. The Flyers go into the bout with a record of 6-12. Maryvale lost 47-38 in their recent non-league bout against West Seneca East (West Seneca, NY)

Next up, the Warriors play the Alden Bulldogs (Alden, NY) in a Section 6 Erie County IV bout, on Wednesday, February 15. Tonawanda will attempt to upgrade on its 2-17 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 9-10 record after their 71-36 league loss to Eden (Eden, NY).
