New Ulm Cathedral Greyhounds (New Ulm, MN) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Madelia Blackhawks (Madelia, MN), 74-32 in a league bout.

With the win, New Ulm Cathedral upgrades its record to 7-14 on the season. The Greyhounds travel to Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop (Winthrop, MN) to clash with the Thunderbirds in a A Section 2 bout on Thursday, February 16. The Thunderbirds go into the bout with a record of 9-9.

Next up, the Blackhawks clash with the Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton Bulldogs (Janesville, MN) in a A Section 2 bout, on Thursday, February 16. Madelia will attempt to upgrade on its 3-18 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 9-14 record after their 64-62 non-league win over Maple River (Mapleton, MN).
