The Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks basketball squad (Newburgh, NY), was trounced 69-41 in Monday's league outing with the visiting Pine Bush Bushmen (Pine Bush, NY)

The Bushmen (8-7) will now prepare for their outing against Wallkill (Wallkill, NY). The Panthers go into the non-league outing with a 14-3 record. In their last outing, Wallkill smashed Rondout Valley (Accord, NY), 65-28, in a league outing.

The Goldbacks now own a 1-16 record. They play next when they travel to Monroe-Woodbury for a Section 9 Orange County I outing on Thursday, February 16. Newburgh Free Academy will clash with a Crusaders squad coming off a 51-43 league loss to Kingston (Kingston, NY). The Crusaders record now stands at 14-5.
