The Thomaston Bears routed the visiting Shepaug Valley Spartans basketball team by a final score of 57-14 in Monday's league game.
In their next game, the Bears face the Housatonic-Wamogo Mountaineers (Falls Village, CT) in a non-league game, on Friday, February 17. Thomaston will attempt to move on its 16-3 season record. The Mountaineers enter the game with a 7-11 record after their 67-32 non-league loss to Nonnewaug (Woodbury, CT).
With the defeat, Shepaug Valley moves to 7-12 on the year. The Spartans host Gilbert (Winsted, CT) to face the Yellowjackets in a Berkshire game on Thursday, February 16.
