The Shepaug/Litchfield/Nonnewaug/Thomaston Spartans edged the host Housatonic/Northwestern/Wamogo Mountaineers ice hockey squad by a count of 2-1 in Monday's non-league bout.

With the victory, Shepaug/Litchfield/Nonnewaug/Thomaston moves its record to 6-8 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to BBD [Brookfield/Bethel/Danbury] (Brookfield, CT) to confront the IceCats in a Southern Connecticut - DIII bout on Thursday, February 16. The IceCats go into the bout with a record of 3-3. BBD [Brookfield/Bethel/Danbury] won 7-4 in their recent non-league bout against Housatonic/Northwestern/Wamogo (Falls Village, CT)

The Mountaineers now sport a 2-12 record. They take the field next when they host SGWL [Suffield/Granby/Windsor Locks] for a Nutmeg Conference bout on Wednesday, February 15.
