The Mankato West Scarlets basketball team scored 77 points and restricted the visiting Austin Packers to 48 in the Scarlets non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Scarlets now sport a 16-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Winona for a non-league contest on Friday, February 16. Mankato West will battle a Winhawks team coming off a 70-60 non-league loss to Mayo (Rochester, MN). The Winhawks record now stands at 6-17.

The Packers (7-14) will now prepare for their contest against Red Wing (Red Wing, MN). The Wingers come into the AAA Section 1 contest with a 7-15 record. In their last contest, Red Wing was routed by Northfield (Northfield, MN), 85-59, in a league contest.
