The Benton Rangers (Benton, IL) basketball crushed the host Hamilton County Foxes (McLeansboro, IL), 71-31 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Rangers (27-3) will now prepare for their test against Pinckneyville (Pinckneyville, IL). The Panthers go into the Southern Illinois River-to-River - Mississippi test with a 23-7 record. In their last test, Pinckneyville walloped Anna-Jonesboro (Anna, IL), 51-47, in a league test.
The Foxes now own a 16-14 record. They play next when they travel to Massac County for a non-league test on Thursday, February 15. Hamilton County will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 84-57 non-league win over DuQuoin (DuQuoin, IL). The Patriots record now stands at 20-8.
