In Tuesday's league outing, the Central Panthers (Independence, OR) basketball squad edged the host Corvallis Spartans (Corvallis, OR), by a count of 59-52.
The Panthers (11-9) will now prepare for their outing against Crescent Valley (Corvallis, OR). The Raiders go into the 5A Mid-Willamette outing with a 5-15 record. In their last outing, Crescent Valley held off Lebanon (Lebanon, OR), 56-36, in a league outing.
The Spartans now hold a 8-12 record. They play next when they travel to Silverton for a 5A Mid-Willamette outing on Friday, February 16. Corvallis will clash with a Foxes squad coming off a 69-46 league loss to West Albany (Albany, OR). The Foxes record now stands at 12-9.
