The Hatch Valley Bears basketball team (Hatch, NM), was overwhelmed 52-25 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Cobre Indians (Bayard, NM)
The Indians now possess a 6-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hot Springs for a 3A District 3 battle on Thursday, February 15. Cobre will battle a Tigers team coming off a 68-60 league win over Socorro (Socorro, NM). The Tigers record now stands at 18-5.
The Bears (6-14) will now prepare for their battle against Socorro (Socorro, NM). The Warriors come into the 3A District 3 battle with a 7-12 record. In their last battle, Socorro was overwhelmed by Hot Springs (Truth or Consequences, NM), 68-60, in a league battle.
