The East Ascension Spartans basketball team scored 85 points and restricted the host St. Amant Gators to 66 in the Spartans league victory on Tuesday.

The Spartans now sport a 12-17 record. They put it on the line next when they host Walker for a 5A District 5 contest on Friday, February 16. East Ascension will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 56-43 league win over Dutchtown (Geismar, LA). The Wildcats record now stands at 17-16.

The Gators (24-10) will now prepare for their contest against Denham Springs (Denham Springs, LA). The Yellowjackets come into the 5A District 5 contest with a 27-7 record. In their last contest, Denham Springs was defeated by Live Oak (Watson, LA), 52-46, in a league contest.
