Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Fairmont Cardinals (Fairmont, MN) and the host St. James Saints (St. James, MN), witnessed Fairmont's basketball squad beat St. James by a margin of 74-60.

The Cardinals (11-10) will now prepare for their test against Redwood Valley (Redwood Falls, MN). The Cardinals go into the AA Section 3 test with a 18-4 record. In their last test, Redwood Valley thwarted Jackson County Central (Jackson, MN), 79-66, in a league test.

The Saints now own a 4-21 record. They play next when they travel to Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop for a non-league test on Thursday, February 15. St. James will encounter a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 74-73 league win over New Ulm Cathedral (New Ulm, MN). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 15-9.
