The New London-Spicer Wildcats basketball team scored 72 points and held the visiting Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted Lakers to 56 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now sport a 12-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Minnewaska Area for a AA Section 3 contest on Thursday, February 15. New London-Spicer will battle a Lakers team coming off a 93-57 league loss to Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg (Kerkhoven, MN). The Lakers record now stands at 2-21.

The Lakers (16-6) will now prepare for their contest against Litchfield (Litchfield, MN). The Dragons enter the non-league contest with a 5-18 record. In their last contest, Litchfield was defeated by Annandale (Annandale, MN), 90-48, in a non-league contest.
