The Lena-Winslow Panthers (Lena, IL) basketball felled the host Newman Central Catholic Comets (Sterling, IL), 58-43 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Panthers (20-8) will now prepare for their test against South Beloit (South Beloit, IL). The Sobos go into the non-league test with a 22-6 record. In their last test, South Beloit thwarted North Boone (Poplar Grove, IL), 50-35, in a non-league test.
The Comets now own a 20-11 record. They play next when they host Ashton-Franklin Center for a non-league test on Monday, February 19.
