In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Mt. Zion Braves (Mt. Zion, IL) basketball squad beat the visiting MacArthur Generals (Decatur, IL), by a margin of 62-48.

The Braves (29-1) will now prepare for their outing against Effingham (Effingham, IL). The Flaming Hearts go into the Apollo outing with a 3-27 record. In their last outing, Effingham was topped by Alton (Alton, IL), 69-37, in a non-league outing.

The Generals now own a 24-4 record. They play next when they host Morton for a non-league outing on Thursday, February 15. MacArthur will clash with a Potters squad coming off a 51-39 league win over Washington (Washington, IL). The Potters record now stands at 26-4.
