Mayo Spartans (Rochester, MN) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Winona Winhawks (Winona, MN), 70-60 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Mayo upgrades its record to 10-10 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Mankato East (Mankato, MN) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Friday, February 16. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 20-1. Mankato East won 104-44 in their recent non-league bout against Faribault (Faribault, MN)

Next up, the Winhawks play the Mankato West Scarlets (Mankato, MN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 16. Winona will attempt to upgrade on its 6-17 season record. The Scarlets come into the bout with a 16-6 record after their 77-48 non-league win over Austin (Austin, MN).
