North Eugene Highlanders (Eugene, OR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Thurston Colts (Springfield, OR), 60-53 in a league bout.

With the win, North Eugene upgrades its record to 19-3 on the season. The Highlanders travel to Ashland (Ashland, OR) to play the Grizzlies in a 5A Midwestern bout on Friday, February 16. The Grizzlies go into the bout with a record of 6-15. Ashland won 60-47 in their recent league bout against Eagle Point (Eagle Point, OR)

Next up, the Colts play the Eagle Point Eagles (Eagle Point, OR) in a 5A Midwestern bout, on Friday, February 16. Thurston will attempt to upgrade on its 13-7 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 10-10 record after their 60-47 league loss to Ashland (Ashland, OR).
