The Asheboro Blue Comets routed the visiting Ledford Panthers basketball team by a final score of 86-40 in Tuesday's league game.

In their next game, the Blue Comets face the North Davidson Black Knights (Lexington, NC) in a 3A Mid-Piedmont game, on Friday, February 16. Asheboro will attempt to move on its 5-17 season record. The Black Knights enter the game with a 11-9 record after their 73-50 league loss to Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC).
