North Carolina High School Basketball - North Buncombe can't hold off Asheville

The North Buncombe Black Hawks basketball team (Weaverville, NC), was nudged 48-41 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Asheville Cougars (Asheville, NC)

The Cougars now possess a 13-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Enka for a 3A/4A Mountain battle on Thursday, February 15. Asheville will battle a Jets team coming off a 52-39 league loss to North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC). The Jets record now stands at 5-16.

The Black Hawks (13-7) will now prepare for their battle against Erwin (Asheville, NC). The Warriors come into the 3A/4A Mountain battle with a 11-11 record. In their last battle, Erwin was nudged by McDowell (Marion, NC), 58-31, in a league battle.
