The Donovan Catholic Griffins basketball team scored 34 points and held the host Central Regional Golden Eagles to 28 in the Griffins league triumph on Tuesday.

The Griffins now sport a 7-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Point Pleasant Boro for a non-league contest on Friday, February 16. Donovan Catholic will meet a Panthers team coming off a 51-36 non-league win over Point Pleasant Beach (Point Pleasant Beach, NJ). The Panthers record now stands at 13-10.

The Golden Eagles (8-14) will now prepare for their contest against Toms River East (Toms River, NJ). The Raiders enter the non-league contest with a 14-10 record. In their last contest, Toms River East was nudged by Toms River North (Toms River, NJ), 33-22, in a league contest.
