Clayton Bears (Clayton, WI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Cornell Chiefs (Cornell, WI), 47-29 in a league bout.

With the win, Clayton upgrades its record to 15-8 on the season. The Bears host New Auburn (New Auburn, WI) to clash with the Trojans in a Lakeland - East bout on Friday, February 16. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 21-3. New Auburn won 64-24 in their recent league bout against Birchwood (Birchwood, WI)

Next up, the Chiefs clash with the Bruce Red Raiders (Bruce, WI) in a Lakeland - East bout, on Friday, February 16. Cornell will attempt to upgrade on its 5-17 season record. The Red Raiders go into the bout with a 3-18 record after their 48-28 non-league loss to Chequamegon (Park Falls, WI).
