Holden Eagles (Holden, MO) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Odessa Bulldogs (Odessa, MO), 49-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Holden upgrades its record to 10-14 on the season. The Eagles travel to Lafayette County (Higginsville, MO) to clash with the Huskers in a Missouri River Valley - East bout on Thursday, February 15. The Huskers go into the bout with a record of 14-12. Lafayette County won 36-28 in their recent league bout against Richmond (Richmond, MO)

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Warrensburg Tigers (Warrensburg, MO) in a Missouri River Valley - West bout, on Thursday, February 15. Odessa will attempt to upgrade on its 8-14 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 14-9 record after their 56-21 non-league loss to St. Teresa's Academy (Kansas City, MO).
