La Farge/Youth Initiative (La Farge, WI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Viroqua Blackhawks (Viroqua, WI), 50-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, La Farge/Youth Initiative upgrades its record to 7-16 on the season. The host De Soto (De Soto, WI) to play the Pirates in a Ridge & Valley bout on Thursday, February 15. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 11-10. De Soto lost 54-48 in their recent league bout against Ithaca (Richland Center, WI)

Next up, the Blackhawks play the Wauzeka-Steuben Hornets (Wauzeka, WI) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 17. Viroqua will attempt to upgrade on its 7-16 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 20-2 record after their 60-32 non-league win over New Lisbon (New Lisbon, WI).
