Lakeland Eagles (White Lake, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting South Lyon Lions (South Lyon, MI), 34-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Lakeland upgrades its record to 14-4 on the season. The Eagles host Kettering (Waterford, MI) to play the Captains in a Lakes Valley bout on Friday, February 16. The Captains go into the bout with a record of 4-15. Kettering lost 44-17 in their recent league bout against Milford (Highland, MI)

Next up, the Lions play the Milford Mavericks (Highland, MI) in a Lakes Valley bout, on Friday, February 23. South Lyon will attempt to upgrade on its 16-3 season record. The Mavericks go into the bout with a 12-8 record after their 48-8 league win over Walled Lake Western (Walled Lake, MI).
