Layton Lancers (Layton, UT) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Weber Warriors (Pleasant View, UT), 50-31 in a league bout.

With the win, Layton upgrades its record to 9-13 on the season. The Lancers host Fremont (Plain City, UT) to play the Silverwolves in a 6A Region 1 bout on Friday, February 16. The Silverwolves go into the bout with a record of 12-10. Fremont won 51-39 in their recent league bout against Syracuse (Syracuse, UT)

Next up, the Warriors play the Davis Darts (Kaysville, UT) in a 6A Region 1 game, on Friday, February 16. Weber will attempt to move on its 6-16 season record. The Darts enter the game with a 19-1 record after their 61-25 league win over Farmington (Farmington, UT).
