North Pitt Panthers (Bethel, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting West Craven Eagles (Vanceboro, NC), 80-37 in a league bout.

With the victory, North Pitt upgrades its record to 20-3 on the campaign. The Panthers host Farmville Central (Farmville, NC) to play the Jaguars in a 2A Eastern Plains bout on Friday, February 16. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 10-10. Farmville Central lost 54-53 in their recent league bout against Greene Central (Snow Hill, NC)

Next up, the Eagles play the SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars (Pinetops, NC) in a 2A Eastern Plains bout, on Friday, February 16. West Craven will attempt to upgrade on its 17-2 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 17-5 record after their 71-30 league win over Washington (Washington, NC).
