The Weldon Chargers basketball team scored 51 points and held the host Rocky Mount Prep Jaguars to 36 in the Chargers league triumph on Tuesday.
The Chargers now sport a 11-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northwest Halifax for a 1A Tar Roanoke contest on Friday, February 16. Weldon will battle a Vikings team coming off a 1-0 league win over KIPP Pride (Gaston, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 16-5.
The Jaguars (3-13) will now prepare for their contest against Warren County (Warrenton, NC). The Eagles enter the 1A Tar Roanoke contest with a 5-14 record. In their last contest, Warren County was defeated by Wilson Prep (Wilson, NC), 68-53, in a league contest.
