George County Rebels (Lucedale, MS) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Long Beach Bearcats (Long Beach, MS), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Rebels confront the Saltillo Tigers (Saltillo, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 17. George County will attempt to better on its 13-8 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 24-1 record after their 8-0 non-league win over Warren Central (Vicksburg, MS).

The Bearcats now have a 17-5 record.
