North Carolina High School Basketball - Central Academy ripped by Monroe

The Monroe Redhawks basketball team scored 44 points and held the host Central Academy Cougars to 20 in the Redhawks non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Redhawks now sport a 16-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Forest Hills for a non-league contest on Friday, February 16. Monroe will meet a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 45-42 non-league loss to Anson (Wadesboro, NC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 3-15.

The Cougars (1-15) will now prepare for their contest against Parkwood (Monroe, NC). The Wolf Pack enter the non-league contest with a 8-11 record. In their last contest, Parkwood was routed by Piedmont (Monroe, NC), 57-51, in a non-league contest.
