The Corinth Holders Pirates (Wendell, NC) basketball nipped the visiting Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC), 46-44 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Pirates (6-13) will now prepare for their test against Garner (Garner, NC). The Trojans go into the non-league test with a 17-4 record. In their last test, Garner got by Southeast Raleigh (Raleigh, NC), 52-46, in a non-league test.
The Comets now own a 8-13 record. They play next when they host Cleveland for a non-league test on Friday, February 16. Clayton will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 48-31 non-league loss to South Garner (Garner, NC). The Rams record now stands at 4-15.
