North Carolina High School Basketball - Union topped by Hobbton

The Hobbton Wildcats basketball team scored 66 points and restricted the visiting Union Spartans to 54 in the Wildcats league victory on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now sport a 8-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Duplin for a contest on Thursday, February 15. Hobbton will battle a Rebels team coming off a 56-36 non-league loss to Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC). The Rebels record now stands at 10-8.

The Spartans (7-13) will now prepare for their contest against Neuse Charter (Smithfield, NC). The Cougars come into the non-league contest with a 2-17 record. In their last contest, Neuse Charter was defeated by Lakewood (Roseboro, NC), 55-50, in a league contest.
