Southern Lee Cavaliers (Sanford, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC), 74-66 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Southern Lee upgrades its record to 8-9 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Lee County (Sanford, NC) to play the Yellow Jackets in a non-league bout on Friday, February 16. The Yellow Jackets come into the bout with a record of 3-13. Lee County won 50-49 in their recent non-league bout against Scotland (Laurinburg, NC)

Next up, the Vikings play the Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 16. Union Pines will attempt to upgrade on its 11-7 season record. The Patriots come into the bout with a 14-5 record after their 72-71 non-league win over Hoke County (Raeford, NC).
