In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Artesia Pioneers (Lakewood, CA) softball team held off the host Bellflower Buccaneers (Bellflower, CA), by a margin of 7-6.

With the triumph, Artesia moves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Pioneers travel to Paramount (Paramount, CA) to play the Pirates in a non-league contest on Thursday, February 15.
