The Anderson County Mavericks basketball team scored 77 points and limited the visiting South-Doyle Cherokees to 64 in the Mavericks non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Mavericks now possess a 17-9 record. They play next when they host Northview Academy for a non-league game on Friday, February 14.

With the loss, South-Doyle falls to 6-19 on the campaign. The Cherokees host Sequoyah (Madisonville, TN) to confront the Chiefs in a 3A District 5 game on Friday, February 14. The Chiefs go into the game with a record of 2-18. Sequoyah lost 58-51 in their recent league game against Lenoir City (Lenoir City, TN)
