In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Barbourville Tigers basketball team scored a big 86-46 triumph over the Red Bird Cardinals.
The Tigers (9-9) will now prepare for their contest against Middlesboro (Middlesboro, KY). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league contest with a 5-15 record. In their last contest, Middlesboro was trounced by Oneida Baptist Institute (Oneida, KY), 58-51, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Cardinals meet the Somerset Christian Cougars (Somerset, KY) in a non-league battle, on Friday, February 14. Red Bird will attempt to advance on its 0-21 season record.
